Install Thunderbird

The beta opens the PrivCloud upload page from your mail client. Choosing files and inserting the link remain manual.

Before downloading

Web uploads follow your account permissions. WebDAV imports through Companion require Pro or active Team membership.

Thunderbird 128 or newer and permission to install add-ons.

Manual installation. Packages are not yet distributed through stores. Verify the checksum before installing and keep your recovery data safe.

Download the XPI

Also download checksums.sha256. Compare the file SHA-256 with the line bearing its exact name before installing.

Install from a file

In Thunderbird, open Add-ons and Themes, then the tools menu and Install Add-on From File. Select the XPI and review its permissions before confirming.

Check that it works

Create a draft, open PrivCloud and choose your files in the upload page. Insert the resulting link into your message.

Need help?

If your organization blocks installation, ask its administrator to allow the add-on. The package is not yet published in the Thunderbird catalog.
