Install the package

Open a terminal in the download folder. The package manager requires administrator permissions.

sudo dnf install ./privcloud-companion-beta-0.1.4-0.beta2.noarch.rpm
4

Configure your user account

Run these commands without sudo. Replace YOUR_ID with your Chromium extension ID, containing 32 letters.

/usr/bin/privcloud-companion --configure-runtime "$(command -v node)"
PRIVCLOUD_CHROME_EXTENSION_ID=YOUR_ID sh /usr/share/privcloud-companion/register-native-messaging.sh

Need help?

If Companion is missing, check Node.js, the launcher path and the extension ID, then reload the extension and PrivCloud. After an NVM update, configure the Node.js path again. A Flatpak browser may need explicit access to the Companion folder.
